This is a really nice case, much better than the quality they provided with my glasses. It's my second case, and I ordered the brown. Its a very very dark brown, almost looks black till you put it next to your black case. Not a complaint, just an observation. My original case is a year old, and in perfect shape. I can toss my reading classes into my backpack with 30 other things and not worry about the glasses getting crushed by anything. Very nice product at a good price.Update: I still like this case, but after about 12 months, the spring that keeps the case closed has broken. I use it a lot, so its opened and closed 10 times a day, but still, given what seemed like a quality case, I would have expected it to last more than a year.The case is very nice but is not big enough for my husband's glasses to fit. I was originally going to return it but was afraid it would cost me more to return it than to keep it. It actually is a very nice case. It's just too small for its intended purpose.Well, I'm giving this item 3 stars because it seems to be well-made and the 'lip' is a great design feature. However, the interior dimensions are too small for the Men's Nautica metal frames that I'd hoped to use it with. The Nauticas are 5-5/8" temple-to-temple, folded, and the interior of this case is barely 5-1/4" at the place where the temples rest. It's also not tall enough or wide enough to hold these frames folded. Why oh why doesn't somebody sell a decent case that's just a hair bigger?I may have ordered it a little too small, the case it self is great tho. It keeps my glasses safe, the interior inside is nice looking, I would recommend this case to everyone to anyone who needs a good cheap case, but that has a little style.Solid looking case. Tight spring hard to open and snaps shut quickly but glasses will not fall out. After time lining will crack and spring will break and a new case will be needed.Works great in protecting glasses. With soft cases a Lense was always hopping out of the frame. Since I have three pair of glasses, i.e., Bifocals, Computer (Focal Distance) and SUN glasses, have three different colored hard cases. Black for Bifocals, Brown for computer and dark green for sun. This fits the bill for my Bifocals.The width is perfect for my Silhouette prescription glasses which lays flat but has a wide ear stems. Tough to find a compact case with this slightly wider width.I was concerned that buying a glass case without being able to try it on for size wouldn't work; but this case was exactly what I was looking for!!
