This jewelry box is replacing one I have had for more than a decade. I loved the divided drawers,, separate ring holder, and out of the way necklace/chain holder. Wish one of the divider drawers had smaller boxes to more easily separate earrings. Last box had sliding hinges that broke within the first few months of use. I expect this one to be much better as there are few parts to break; the wooden drawers slide on groves and are notched at the back of the drawer to prevent the drawer from accidently pulling out and spilling contents.The package arrived on time, but was holding my breath. In this day and age of excess packaging, this was not the case for this order. It arrived in the manufactures box, with only minimal packing protection inside. I was sure it would be damaged, but was pleasing surprised that the box was in perfect shape without even a scratch on it.This is a great jewelry box. There's a lot of storage, in fact there's "just enough" for my large collection of jewelry. The hooks for the chains are on a wooden bar that swivels as you raise and lower the lid. All the edges are nice and flush. There are stops at the back of the drawers that prevent drawers from falling out. The wood color is very pretty. The whole surface is smooth to the touch. Inside the velour is a very pretty creamy chocolate color. There is no "slow close" mechanism on this lid, so be aware of that when you open and close it. The price is great for this jewelry box.Something I want to mention is the shipping material that my jewelry box was sent in was not very good. There was barely any padding on the inside of a thin box. It looked like it was taken right off the shelf in a store and mailed like that - there wasn't any outer mailing box, no padding, it was kind of weird. I thought for sure that the product would be damaged when I opened it based on the way the outer box looked, but miraculously it was fine.Just as described. Necklace hooks are especially nice! Very happy with the purchase!The jewelry box is attractive, well-made and arrived in good condition. I look forward to using it for years to come.Large in size to fit a lot of jewelry .
